Chef Michael & Caitlin Toscano have returned to NYC and to their culinary roots, with the opening of da Toscano at 24 Minetta Lane in Greenwich Village in 2020. The address is the former home to Perla where Michael helmed the kitchen as Executive Chef beginning back in 2012. Caitlin, also a veteran of the NYC dining scene, has an impressive resume that includes work & management at Craft, Per Se, Del Posto and Manzo. Over the last few years da Toscano has warmed hearts and catered to New Yorkers and visitors from afar and are entering a new chapter with a relocation into Midtown at the historic and iconic Iroquois New York. This transition marks a thoughtful evolution of the restaurant’s identity of bringing the spirit, warmth, and culinary integrity first established in Greenwich Village into a space that honors New York’s timeless hospitality tradition while welcoming a broader Midtown audience. da Toscano is a culmination of Michael’s creative interpretations of regional Italian cuisine with a modern approach in an upscale atmosphere paired with a casual and hospitable approach.
