Expectations:
• Previous hosting experience in NYC restaurants.
• Former experience in an upscale, fine-dining environment.
• Comfort working with reservation systems (Resy, OpenTable, or similar)
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment that doesn't sacrifice the quality of service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet and seat guests with professionalism and warmth.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and pacing throughout service.
• Communicating effectively with floor managers and service staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand.
• Build rapport with neighborhood and returning guests.
AVAILABILITY:
• Open availability encouraged as we expand to daytime services.
COMPENSATION:
• Hourly ($17.50) plus tips.

Food Runner/Busser
We are looking for a talented, experienced, and professional Food Runner/Busser to join our team.

•Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holiday's when needed.

DUTIES WILL INCUDE:
•Communicating and supporting with our expo and captains to provide a smooth and efficient service experience to our guests.
•Supporting Captains in delivering our guests' beverage and food selections to designated tables.
•Assisting with clean up duties after the conclusion of service.
COMPENSATION:
•Hourly ($14.15+2.85 Tax Credit) plus tips.
•Part-time (2 days) & Full-time (3-4 days) positions available, AM&PM.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
-Having a solid wine and food foundation. (major allergies, dietary restrictions, regions, grape varietals, vineyards, etc)

-Delivering our guests' beverage and food selections to designated tables.
-Opening duties prior and cleaning duties concluding service.

AM Service Manager
With a recent move from Greenwich Village into the historic Iroquois Hotel we are looking to expand our front of house management team.
We are primarily looking for candidates available for AM services however schedule must be flexible to account for occasional coverage for other members of the management team during vacations.
What we are looking for:
-We are seeking a professional candidate who loves building relationships with guests and peers. Hospitality is incredibly important.
-Candidates who have a well rounded resume, holding multiple positions in the restaurant industry. (Serving, bartending, hosting, managing, etc.)
-Candidate must be a creative and passionate person who can bring out the best in their team.
-Answer and returning phone calls, setting the floor plan for the evening, taking reservations and working heavily with the door team, so a complete understanding of RESY is crucial. (if you have worked with a different reservation system in the past, no problem, RESY is intuitive and you should be able to quickly pick it up.)
-Experience with inventory, basic computer skills and phones.
-The management team is expected to be hands on, teach by showing and leading by example guiding the team with a common goal and every employee should be treated with respect.
-Managers must be able to touch every table, build lasting relationships with every diner, offer a helping hand on the floor at all times, demonstrate patience, coupled with an ability to teach and instruct.
-A polished, effortless and natural floor presence.
This position is specifically for a manager with additional responsibilities in minor administrative related duties to include:
1. Entry and tracking of team hours and tips, and financial reports.
2. Sorting, coding and filing of invoices and documents.
3. Staff education materials during menu changes (food, wine and cocktails).
4. Maintain cleanliness standards and hold the team responsible for compliance to all DOH requirements.
5. Menu changes/reprints and website edits.
da Toscano is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner services.

This is a hourly position with benefits and pay is based on experience.
Medical and dental insurance is available after 30 days of full time employment.

Applicants must have:
-Experience at the door and working with a reservations system, preferably Resy and Open table.
Fine-dining experience as a server or bartender (we expect your service fundamentals to be strong and thus the required experience is necessary, however prior management experience is not necessarily needed.)
-Wine training and/or certifications (A bonus, not a must)
-Basic understanding of Word, Excel, Mac, and office equipment
-Be a 'people-person', as building guest and concierge relationships is paramount to the success of the restaurant. We are a neighborhood restaurant that caters to locals and we expect you to be able to remember faces and names, guest nuances, favorite tables and to be able to welcome each guest as family.
Fine Dining Service, Wine Knowledge & Love of Food, Craft Cocktails, and Hospitality are a MUST!
