Jr. Service Manager
Fine Dining Service, Wine Knowledge & Love of Food, Craft Cocktails, and Hospitality are a MUST!
Located on quaint Minetta Lane is an Italian neighborhood gem looking to expand their front of house management team.
What we are looking for:
-We are seeking a professional candidate who loves building relationships with guests and peers. Hospitality is incredibly important.
-Candidates who have a well rounded resume, holding multiple positions in the restaurant industry. (Serving, bartending, hosting, managing, etc.)
-Candidate must be a creative and passionate person who can bring out the best in their team.
-Answer and returning phone calls, setting the floor plan for the evening, taking reservations and working heavily with the door team, so a complete understanding of RESY is crucial. (if you have worked with a different reservation system in the past, no problem, RESY is intuitive and you should be able to quickly pick it up.)
-Experience with inventory, basic computer skills and phones.
-We expect our management team to be hands on, and teach by showing, and leading by example. We're a team with a common goal and every employee should be treated with respect.
-Managers must be able to touch every table, build lasting relationships with every diner, offer a helping hand on the floor at all times, demonstrate patience, coupled with an ability to teach and instruct.
-A polished, effortless and natural floor presence.
-This position is specifically for a manager with additional responsibilities in minor administrative related duties to include:
1. entry of tips at the end of each shift into a pre-populated excel spreadsheet.
2. Sorting, coding and filing of invoices
3. Staff education materials when the menu changes (food, wine and cocktails)
4. Maintain cleanliness standards and hold the staff responsible for cleaning schedules.
5. Menu changes/reprints and website edits. (In Design is our menu software and Bento Box is our website platform)
-We are a restaurant that is open 6 nights a week for dinner only. As such, your schedule must be flexible to account for openings and closings in that week; specific days of the week cannot be promised off, but we always do out best to accommodate each other's schedules, as well as 2 days off in a week.
-A work week consists of 5 days on and 2 days off. Roughly 50-60 hours a week onsite can be expected.
What we can offer you:
This is a salaried position, and pay is based on experience beginning at $65,000 yearly
Fully covered medical and dental insurance is available after 30 days of full time employment.

Applicants must have:
-Experience at the door and working with a reservations system, preferably Resy and Open table.
Fine-dining experience as a server or bartender (we expect your service fundamentals to be strong and thus the required experience is necessary, however prior management experience is not necessarily needed.)
-Wine training and/or certifications (A bonus, not a must)
-Basic understanding of Word, Excel, Mac, and office equipment
-Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
-Be a 'people-person', as building guest and concierge relationships is paramount to the success of the restaurant. We are a neighborhood restaurant that caters to locals and we expect you to be able to remember faces and names, guest nuances, favorite tables and to be able to welcome each guest as family.
